5 – I am unable to access taking air through my mouth. I still notice, when I try to take in air through my mouth, as soon as it hits the back of my throat, the windpipe and chest area are constricted. It is a deeply unpleasant experience trying to inhale that way. Any ideas?Irene Lyon2019-11-13T11:17:13-08:00
4 – Should I be giving up the alternative nostril breathing (in the left nostril, out the right) I have learned? It seems to give me a headache now. What does that mean?Irene Lyon2019-11-11T13:48:49-08:00

7 – Third round and I still am not making progress with my breathing. Whenever I notice it, it is always shallow. Unless I do 20 mins plus of conscious breathing, I appear to not be inhaling adequately — and so wonder if the result is chronic oxygen deprivation in my system. Any suggestions as to why this is and what to do, practically, to shift this?Irene Lyon2019-11-11T13:43:31-08:00
6 – What’s the difference between regulating our breath (i.e. creating a full, rhythmic breath through a meditation practice) and the exercises from this week’s lab to cultivate our inhale and exhale? It seems that both of these practices promote conscious breathing with the goal of learning to breathe to our fullest capacity.Irene Lyon2019-11-11T13:42:49-08:00
5 – If we keep practicing these breathing exercises, will it help to calm our NS?Irene Lyon2019-11-11T13:41:45-08:00
4 – When does it make sense to use the inhale lesson vs. the exhale lesson? In which situations? Or, are they lessons in awareness?Irene Lyon2019-11-11T13:39:09-08:00
