The power of groups

Groups hold a special power. And when we combine individual support and group intention – as we will in this unique program – we dramatically increase the effectiveness and potency of the work we do together. As a result, transformation can take place.
In her recent book, ‘The Power of Eight’, Lynne McTaggart discovered through rigorous testing that the power of group intention increases exponentially with eight participants.
To tap into the healing power of groups and to make personalized nervous system work more available, I’m offering a special group opportunity to work with gentle movement practices, breathing exercises, and self-touch as a way to support your nervous system regulation.

How does it work?
Hello everyone! Elia here 😊
I believe that building a movement practice is integral to a healthy and happy life. In these Group Movement Sessions, our intention will be to use simple movements as a way to release trauma and repattern our nervous system. Drawing upon the practices of Qi Gong, (an ancient Chinese Healing Art), Acupressure (Self-Massage), and gentle movement practices, these sessions can help address specific issues in your body while also helping you build a movement practice you can take with you after the sessions have ended. Throughout the series you will have the opportunity to receive individual attention to address your specific needs while also being part of a community built by the entire group. The intention of this group is to create a fun, educational and healing experience that is accessible for everyone.
Our group of eight will come together every other week over the course of three months. When we meet, each group member will receive 15 minutes of individual work to address specific needs or simply be led through an exploration of movement and curiosity. Group sessions will last a total of two hours. I have found with my online clients that 15 minutes is the time needed to do one solid piece of work.
While each individual is in session, the rest of the group will hold intention for the current client. What’s amazing about this group intention is that the beneficial results extend just as much to the people holding intention as to the person receiving the work, especially if that group consists of at least eight people. So the group intention is an integral part of the work and benefits everybody.
Also, by attuning to the student being led, group participants are able to do their own version of the work that the client is receiving. The result of this is that each meeting ends up being a 2 hour session for everyone, but with the freedom for everyone to titrate their own involvement by turning off their camera or sound for a bit, walking around, orienting, and following their impulse when not in their 15-minute window.
I will also be moderating a private forum within the SBSM site specifically for the Pod so that people can ask follow-up questions and share their experience in-between sessions. This forum will stay open after the Pod is over so members can stay connected but it will not be moderated by Elia or Team Lyon staff.
A few words from past participants of the Movement Pod:
Where and when?
Each person joins from the comfort of their own living space. Please ensure that you have privacy for the duration of each session. Unless you have a quiet office and can ensure no interruptions, please do not attend these sessions while at work.
We will be meeting online using Zoom – a free app for Mac, PC, or smartphone. You must have an internet connection that is fast enough for decent quality on Zoom calls. If you are not sure that your connection is fast enough, please test it out on a Zoom call or Skype call with a friend, and make sure they can see and hear you clearly. If you don’t have a Zoom account, you can sign up for a free account by visiting the Zoom website.
PLEASE NOTE. It’s important that we’re able to hear and see YOU on the calls. Being able to hear and see Irene clearly on past live calls in SBSM does not necessarily mean your internet is fast enough for us to hear and see you clearly. Please test out your connection with a friend if you have any doubt about your connection quality.
The Pod will meet six times (once every two weeks), over the course of three months.
Very important! There is tremendous power in YOUR presence, and when we join our collective presence in groups of eight, something akin to miracles can happen. So please only sign up for this experience if you are SURE that you can attend for the entire duration of each session during the following times. Also, please do not plan any big travel by plane (or some other form of transport subject to delays beyond your control) on the day before, or of, the Pod meeting.
The pods are sold out!
